6.1.744 and I use Windows firewall. Unless you told ZAP not to tuen off XP firewall, no you dont use both. But when I turn the computer on and it loads everything up, when it loads Zone Alarm it turns the Windows firewall off and I have to manually turn it back on from the control panel. Dont do that.

If you're doing a dual boot, and you're running Windows, Linux isn't even running, and vice versa. However, 99% (100%?) of Linux distrobutions come with a firewall utility. "ipfwadm," or, I guess now days in the Linux community it's "ipchains," but no matter which one you run, they both do the same thing.
